The events were closed to the public, but area youth still had some blue ribbon opportunities at the Dickinson County Fair this year. The swine show took place July 22. Poultry exhibits were celebrated July 18, and horse shows took place on July 19. The next day was set aside for sheep and goats. The beef show was held on July 21.The annual dog show was canceled, and 4-H youth used posters to participate in the pet show. Video submissions were used to enter and judge the rabbit show. Fair participants were also able to pick up static exhibits between noon and 5:30 p.m. following the swine competition.

A few cattle broke away from their handlers. Some spectators speculated the cows didn't have enough time to get acclimated to the fairgrounds because this year's COVID-19 restrictions limited how early they could arrive.
