Tuesday was another dreary day. The more downtime I have, the more I miss my friends, teachers, and normal routine. Luckily, today, I was able to help deliver some shirts to my softball teammates. It was so great to see them, and hear how excited they are for the season, even from a distance. The other night, I was able to get out to my backyard and take some swings. It felt so good to get back at it. I hope for the day I am able to do the same thing with my teammates by my side!
The big event for me today came from me trying my hand in cosmetology. I gave my first-ever haircut! With the salons closed, it called for a trip to the garage with a hair trimmer and a pair of shears. I’m not going to lie, I was quite nervous to give it a try. I watched a couple videos on some tips and tricks and the end product was far from professional, but will do for a garage cut.
As my grandma told me many times in a phone call the other night, “We just have to make the best of it.”
I hope everyone is doing well. Hang in there!
