"That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and shall believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
— Romans 10:9 and 10
BY PASTOR GWEN DRESSEL - CHRISTIAN FAMILY WORSHIP CENTER
As my eight children and their families are coming home for the wedding of my eldest son, I decided to clean my stove and refrigerator inside and outside. As I was cleaning them, the Lord said to me: “Do you realize that when you accept me as Lord and Savior that you are cleansed inside and outside as well?"
No matter what you have done in your life — whether it be adultery, rape, incest, drugs or any such things — the Lord will make you a new creature in him when you accept him. There is nothing that you can ever do in your life to take you out of God's hands.
It says in 2nd Corinthians 5:17: "… therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature. The old has passed away, behold the new has come.
That means that God has your back because when we become born again we are covered with the shed blood of Jesus. We put on the armor of God. We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Everything we do we are blessed coming in and blessed going out.
Deuteronomy 28:1 to 14 lists all the blessings we have. We are blessed in the city, we are blessed in the country, we are blessed going in, we are blessed going out, we are blessed above, we are blessed beneath. Everything we touch is blessed because we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
Have you ever played hide and go seek with your children? They will hide and you will have to go seek them, and your children get so excited when they get back to base before you can find them. God knows exactly where you are. You may try and hide from him, you may try and go to the highest mountain or to the lowest of the seas but you will never get away from God. He sees you wherever you are, in whatever state you're in. He knows you coming and going, he knew you before you were formed in the womb.
My challenge for you today is: If you have never made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life now is the time to do it. Once you make the commitment, he will take you and clean you up and you will become a new creation in Christ Jesus.
May the Lord bless you and keep you and make his face shine upon you. Remember no matter what you going through: JESUS IS LORD!
