St. Alban's Episcopal church celebrated the official installation of The Rev. Thomas Early as their rector on Sunday, April 28.
Fr. Tom and his wife Sarah moved to Okoboji in 2017, where he has been Priest in Charge at St. Alban's since that time.
Growing up in Harlan, Tom went on to receive his bachelor of arts degree in religious studies in 2012 from The University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. He then graduated with a masters of divinity from the School of Theology, University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.
His gifts and experiences have led him to serve a family-size faith community to help guide their search of deep spiritual formation, increased community outreach, fresh expressions of traditional liturgical worship and facilitation of evangelical witness. Among his many skills are small group facilitation, scriptural study, liturgy preparation, youth ministry, pastoral conversation and gathering people.
The vestry and members of St. Alban's, The Diocese of Iowa and The Episcopal Faith Community said they are overjoyed and looked forward to Early's leadership and guidance as they continue to grow in love and faith in the Iowa Great Lakes.
St. Alban's is located at 2011 23rd Street, Spirit Lake. Service times are 10 a.m. Sundays and 9 a.m. Tuesdays. Summer months will include Saturdays at 5 p.m. For more information contact them at (712) 336-1117, firstname.lastname@example.org or their website: www.stalbansepiscopalchurch.org.
