Okoboji church to livestream worldwide event
Tens of thousands of women worldwide will participate in the "IF:Gathering" via a livestream from a sold out event Feb. 8-9 in Dallas.
Hours are 6-9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9. With a variety of cultures and denominations represented, participating women hold one thing in common: They want to live like God is real.
The IF:Gathering provides space for women to wrestle with essential questions of faith, to dream and to connect during a two-day gathering. For more information about the 2019 gathering, visit iflocal.com.
In Okoboji, local leaders are hosting a livestream gathering, and women from the area are invited to join IF: Okoboji on Feb. 8 and 9, as part of this international event.
Good News Community Church is the local sponsoring church. It is located at 1010 Julia St.
IF:Gathering exists to gather, equip and unleash a generation of women to go and disciple others. The non-profit was born out of a God-given vision from Jennie Allen, the author of "Restless" and "Nothing to Prove." Allen founded a global community out of the desire to gather this generation of women by creating a pure, honest space to wrestle with the essential question: If God is real, then what? In its first five years, IF:Gathering has reached more than 1.2 million women in more than 179 countries. IF:Gathering provides a daily online discipleship tool, "IF:Equip," to help women know God more deeply.
By partnering with organizations like International Justice Mission, IF:Gathering is coming alongside women around the world, fostering relationships and using women's God-given gifts to not only transform hearts but also leave a tangible impact on the entire world.
