Am I in Vegas?

Posted Sunday, May 31, 2009, at 3:40 PM

After spending a couple of nights on the town this Memorial Day weekend, I observed some interesting behavior. We have all seen the slogan from Las Vegas, "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas." Which than led me to ask the question, does "what happens in Boji stay in Boji?"

As I write this, I really don't have a sense of right or wrong on this, it is just interesting. Local guy is at the bar, good looking young girl comes up to him and says, "I met you at a seminar two years ago and really liked you. . . . . . ." next thing he knows the girl is kissing him and all over him. In the conversation she mentions something about a boyfriend back home, but only mentions it as if it were an afterthought. Five minutes later she is asking if she can get a ride home with him and spend the night at his house. As soon as the guy figures out an exit strategy, 4 dudes who knew the boyfriend back home come over take the girl and leave.

Who is right? Who is wrong? Is there a right or wrong here?

Flashback to the summer of 1977. My mom, Paula, was dating my dad Herman when she was approached by one of her friends and said, "you're never going to believe what I saw last week, Herman was out at the bar and hitting on girls!! I thought you two were serious." For about five minutes Paula was really pissed off, than she asked her friend, "What night was this?" "Well it was Saturday." The friend replied. Paula's response, "there is no way you saw Herman Saturday night, he was with me." The friend insisted it was Herman. The next day Paula figured it out, Emil (Herman's brother) had been out Saturday night. Case of mistaken identity, point being make sure you know who you are talking about.

The #1 thing to remember in today's society with camera phones, video phones you can't do anything without your significant other finding out. It is just a fact.
