Beware of the Restroom

This story comes from my sister's very nice boyfriend. I think very highly of him but accidently offended him slightly when I referred to him as a pasty Oompa Loompa. Shame on me! He feels he looks more like a Leo. Clearly I am a bad judge at comparing who people look like, SOOOOOOOOOO I attached a picture of an Oompa, my sister's boyfriend and a Leo. I'll let you decide who he looks like.

On with the story.

This past weekend my sister and her boyfriend were in Kansas City for a wedding. They stayed in a nice hotel and on Sunday morning while enjoying breakfast noticed an older couple also eating. The couple were in their 80's and it was easy to tell the gentleman's health was slipping. He struggled to hold his silverware and get food into his mouth, but it was enduring to see them together and happy. It wasn't until later that my sister's boyfriend (MSBF) started to wonder how supportive the gentleman's wife really was.

After breakfast MSBF was checking out and took a moment to use the public restroom in the hotel lobby. As he entered he noticed the older gentleman's wife sitting on the bench outside the restroom and had second thoughts about entering but proceeded.

When he entered he encountered a sight and smell equally horrifying. The smell of human feces is not uncommon in a restroom but this was worse then he had ever before experienced. And then he saw it. Clinging to his walker, in the middle of the restroom was the older gentleman with his pants around his ankles. He was trying to squat but was too weak. Then MSBF noticed it. Below the man was a pile of poo on the black marble flooring. MSBF did not know how to react! How would you react? In shock he watched the older gentleman pull up his soiled pants and begin to maneuver his walker out. As he was turning his walker to exit the restroom one of the wheels when through the pile of poo splitting it in half. A small chunk clung to the wheel and flopped a bit as the older gentleman created a poo path while exiting the restroom to meet up with his wife waiting just outside. When MSBF exited the restroom he saw a trail of poo created by the walker's wheel extending about 60 feet into the lobby of the hotel.

MSBF is a pretty responsible guy... he was in the military. He decided the proper thing to do was to tactfully explain the situation to the front desk so the mess could be cleaned up in a timely manner. After he explained the situation the front desk clerk looked at him with disbelief and asked if he was serious. MSBF responded, "Could I make this s**t up?

I must tell you, this is a true story that makes me value my youth and independence so much more.
