He's a "pee-er"

A good friend of mine was recently in town and while catching up she casually mentioned the most random thing about her husband. He's a "pee-er" when he drinks. And then she just continued talking.

"STOP!" I say, "Go back. What did you just say?"

"Didn't I ever tell you that?" She asks.

"No. You've never once mentioned in the year you've been married to him and the 2 years before that in which you dated him." I replied.

So I get to hear the story now. And so do you. They were early in their relationship and it was the first time she was going to stay over at his place. Before one thing lead to another he said, "I need to tell you something. I'm a pee-er. I wet the bed when I drink." My friend decided she really liked him and everyone has flaws so she would just overlook this one.

At this point I stopped her to ask if he pees on her.

"Oh no," she laughs, "He has his pee blankets."

I think my blank look told her she needed to elaborate a bit more. It turns out he has a medical condition that causes him to use the restroom on a VERY regular basis. When he drinks, he just doesn't wake up. Because of this, when he drinks he sleeps on the bathroom floor with one of his "pee blankets" and they just wash the blanket the next morning and scrub the floor. This is a normal part of their married life. They tried adult diapers once but he bought the unisex type, which are mesh in the front and the pee comes out. Medication isn't fixing the problem yet so he just sleeps on the bathroom floor curled up like a little puppy with his pee blanket when he drinks. AND it's perfectly normal.
